The Treasure Valley Spartans partnered with the AIFA Wenatchee Valley Venom to offer players the opportunity to take their game to the next level by co-hosting a tryout for the team on Saturday, March 13th. Our former defensive coordinator and Boise State alum Brian Smith is on staff with the Venom. A huge thank you to the Venom for allowing us to practice alongside the tryout and huge props to our guys who attended the tryout.
The Wenatchee Valley Venom is an expansion team in the AIFA (http://www.aifaprofootball.com/) and will begin play in the league's West Division at Town Toyota Center (http://www.towntoyotacenter1.com/) in Wenatchee, WA on March 20th. Their 14-game regular season runs through July 3rd against teams from Casper, WY, Ogden, UT, San Jose, CA, Yakima, WA, and Wasilla, AK.

Team Information |

|
When playing in the Rocky Mountain Football League you are required to wear, at a minimum, shoulder pads and a helmet. There are no requirements for arm, hip, thigh, tail and knee pads or a back plate. Wearing these is left up to the individual player.
Idaho Sporting Goods in Boise offers our team a 20% discount on some equipment and you can also find great prices on the web. Early in the season, players on the team bring their old equipment to practice to sell, swap or give away. This is a great time to pick up some gear.
Another method used by players is contacting their former high school/college. Occasionally, schools will allow former players to purchase equipment through the school athletic department.
If you have trouble finding gear or affording gear, please let us know and we will help in any way we can.

Want to play in 2010? Here is a look at what you'll need to do:
- Equipment. League requires you to wear a helmet and shoulders pads.
- Player Fee. All players pay a player fee. This goes directly to team operations.
- Sponsorship. Our greatest asset in keeping player fees low is identifying sponsors.
- Get In Shape. Football requires a lot of your body. Take the time to start preparing now.
- Ask Questions. If you have questions regarding the team, ask them!
We have a great opportunity to be one of the leagues top teams if we do what it takes. Let's make it happen...Starting now!
